BIM model of a school building

BIM models are playing an increasingly important role in the implementation of new construction projects or in building measures in existing buildings. A detailed 3D model was created for the approval phase of a conversion concept for the grammar school.
The architect, city council and building authority were in close contact with us to revise the existing escape and rescue route concept. A level of detail of 300 was defined. Doors, walls, windows are precisely dimensioned and provided with concrete building materials, so that the basis for an implementation plan is created.
The now common CAD interface IFC (industry foundation classes) was consistently used as an exchange format in both directions. It was even possible to edit building components in the architect's third-party software for the most part. More about BIM >
