3D laser scanning and 3D modeling of a winding tower

3D models are time consuming and expensive. Sometimes true-to-scale photos (orthophotos) in high-resolution details are the measure of all things. In this case, orthophotos of a winding tower were generated on the basis of a laser scan, containing static information about girder types, platform heights and spatial dimensions. These photos are then stored in CAD for processing by the customer.
